Tehran: According to foreign media reports, Iranian Army Chief Major General Amir Hatami, while addressing a military ceremony, said that Iran had emerged victorious in the war, but that this success needed to be consolidated. He said the opposing side had suffered significant losses, but the Iranian military must remain prepared to respond to any possible future attack.

The Iranian Army chief further said that Iran is a country standing against the United States and Israel, and that the Iranian people had demonstrated their determination to defend the country’s sovereignty and security. He added that Iran would not accept any external pressure or the use of force in the region.

Major General Amir Hatami said that the war with the United States was not yet over and had instead entered an “important and decisive phase.” He also instructed the Iranian military to remain prepared for possible further attacks.

Hatami’s remarks come at a time when the situation surrounding a potential ceasefire between Iran and the United States, the Strait of Hormuz and diplomatic contacts remains uncertain. Iranian officials recently said that proposals concerning the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and ending the war had been conveyed to the United States through Oman and other mediators, while Tehran is awaiting Washington’s response.

Meanwhile, Iranian military spokesman Mohammad Akraminia also said that Iran’s armed forces were fully prepared to confront any possible new attack by the United States. According to him, if the United States attacks again, it could face greater losses than before.

The Strait of Hormuz has also emerged as a key focal point of the conflict. Hatami said Iran would not accept a situation in which it was unable to conduct trade while other powers continued to use the region’s major maritime routes. According to him, the Strait of Hormuz is an issue closely linked to Iran’s dignity and sovereignty.
